CAST Presents: The Comedy of Errors!

CAST Presents: The Comedy of Errors!

Gamut Theatre is excited to welcome The Cambridge University American Stage Tour (CAST), performing Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors!

Stick on a party hat and come celebrate Shakespeare’s most farcical play, reimagined as a hilariously anarchic birthday-do. After being separated as infants, two sets of identical twins, with identical names, finally find themselves in the same place at the same time. Following years of travelling the world in search of their missing halves, Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant Dromio arrive in Ephesus (unbeknownst to them, the home of their long-lost siblings). Standing in the way of their reunion, however, is a chaotic series of mistaken identities, confusion, and a fair amount of cake.

Now in its nineteenth year, CAST has been performing to packed houses and critical acclaim since 2000, when it was formed under the patronage of Dame Judi Dench. Each September, Cambridge’s most talented actors, directors, and technicians bring a Shakespeare play and educational workshops to colleges, high schools and professional theatres across the United States. This year’s production of The Comedy of Errors is no less ambitious, showcasing the leading dramatic talent in Cambridge, including those about to enter the world of professional theatre.

Catch their performance for one show only at 2:30pm, Sunday 22nd September.

The tickets for performance will be $19 general admission and $10 for Harrisburg Academy students, families, faculty, and staff.
