Think On Your Feet: Improv for Businesses

Spontaneity, preparation, listening, creativity, adaptability, teamwork: all critical qualities for success in the workplace. But these qualities are also indispensable elements of a successful improvisation troupe: maintaining the skills of being able to react well to the unknown – as a group –and using available information to create a quick, solid, positive outcome. At the heart of it, improvisation comedy is the skill of thinking on your feet – either on your own or as part of a group – and making something entertaining “on the fly.” In business, improvisation can be a fun and effective way to help your key people learn creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills.

The improv instructors at T.M.I., Gamut Theatre Group’s improv comedy troupe, are well versed in business as well as improvisation, and they draw from their understanding of and experience in both of these venues to develop workshop themes that use the basics of improv comedy to strengthen important elements of successful businesses, including:

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Leadership
  • Teamwork
  • Decision-making and Suspension of Judgment
  • Adapting to Change
  • Conflict Resolution

T.M.I. has customized (and customizable!) improvisation workshops designed to fit the needs of your business. The group’s improv specialists will speak with someone from your company to determine your exact needs and what you hope to take away from an improv-based workshop. We are limited only by your goals.

Our price structure is based on the workshop length, not content. All workshops include two instructors and are designed for up to 24 attendees. For best results, we request that the area for the workshop exercises be an open space, room, or stage.

45 minutes $300
