La Bella Durmiente (The Sleeping Beauty) returns in a vibrant new version performed entirely in Spanish by The Popcorn Hat Players En Español. This fast-paced and hilarious adaptation of the classic fairy tale features actors of Hispanic descent, offering kids a theatrical experience filled with authentic representation and cultural pride. With quick humor, charming characters, and a beloved story told in a fresh and exciting way, this production invites young audiences to see their own cultures reflected onstage. La Bella Durmiente brings laughter, audience participation, and a heartwarming message about courage and community—all while celebrating the beauty of the Spanish language.

Did you know that each of Aesop’s fables has a moral? Some of the famous ones in this play include “Think Before You Answer,” “Don’t Be Greedy,” and “Look Before You Leap!”

Our production of this classic fairy tale has a "twist": We set the story in the 1950s! Join us for this hilarious tale with 50s’ styled dancing, exciting production numbers, and of course, the Hand Jive! It's very Coolsville.
